Ah yes, Portland is indeed a great place for music. There's one show or another every night of the week somewhere in town, and there's a ton of local music talent as well. I thought I'd toss out a few local grooves that have been pumping through QO's speakers as of late. 
First, The Thermals! A fantastic rock group, they're loud and awesome. Hutch Harris occasionally stops into the coffee shop in Southeast where I work for a sandwich and an Americano. Really nice guy and super down to earth.

Also, Hockey! A more recent group to emerge on the scene, Hockey's got a super catchy/dancy 80's vibe. They've been getting quite a bit of play on local radio as of late. Check out Too Fake. Or just Buy their Album!
