Today's Going To Be A Good Day

I was considering starting this update with, "OMGOMGOMG!" but then I remembered that I'm not an eight year old girl. So let's be adults here, brush off our suits and straighten our ties. Maintain a slightly aloof demeanor no matter how excited we are. "Man-up," some might say. In all seriousness though, we're only 21 days into 2010 and the future's looking so fantastically bright we're donning our shades in January.

First: Big, big news today! Our second commercial for Yeyo Tequila is dropping tonight!! Jon Bullinger, owner/creator has had a few hurdles getting the first batch of Yeyo up from Mexico. But we're happy to report that the tequila is here, in Oregon, and is doing extremely well. So tonight, Quarter Orange will be on Facebook live with Jon as he releases the second spot! So get on Facebook in about an hour an hang out with us! http://www.facebook.com/YEYOTEQUILA The first spot has been out for a while, and has received a great response. TONIGHT!

In case you haven't heard, tonight is QO's first film night! We have been talking to Donovan Pierce over at Radio Room about doing a film night for some time now, and it has now come to fruition! Come hang out tonight at 9pm for a free event of local short films, and good, cheap beer ($2.75 Micro Brews!)

Tonight also marks the kickoff for our fund raising for our first feature film: "Evidence of the Sasquatch." If you'll notice to the right of this here blog, is a nifty little widget that shows our fund raising progress. We are raising these funds through a cool little site called kickstarter.com We put our goal, and then people pledge towards our goal. If they want they can choose a "reward" for their donation. Here's the catch: we set a time limit on when we will reach our goal. If we reach, or surpass our goal in the allotted time, then we get the donations, but if we do not meet our goal, then we get nothing. It's a pretty cool site, check out our project page, and feel free to poke around the rest of the site and check out the other cool projects.

We're Back Baby!

Hey everybody, hope your holidays were fun and filled with cheer, ours definitely were! Now that we are all back from our various functions, we are hitting the new year harder then ever. We spent most of last week working out our rough one year plan, with the knowledge of having another review in six months. We outlined our schedule for the feature we are working on, and various other projects we are planning for the year. We have also decided to up our amount of meetings. We have been meeting every Friday, all day for about six months now, and started meeting Wednesday evenings within the last couple months. Now we are adding a Saturday morning coffee meeting to the mix, in order be more focused and productive.

We have a lot of projects in the work. Our biggest is the feature film we are working on, "Evidence of the Sasquatch." We are going to start fundraising in the next couple of weeks for the project. We have started a project with kickstarter.com, but are putting on the finishing touches before we launch it, such as shooting our pitch video:



The other exciting news is that we will be hosting a short film screening at Radio Room (1101 NE Alberta) on Jan 18th, 9pm. We will be showing an assortment of short films by QO and our friends. Look for more info soon.
